GOOGLE GETS INTO FASHION

HAS ANYONE VISITED THIS BETA SITE THAT HAS LAUNCHED TODAY?  WOW….. TECHNOLOGY ENTERS THE WORLD OF FASHION….

Google launched a new fashion shopping site, Boutiques.com Wednesday morning.

Unlike nearly every other Google online product, no Google logo can be found on Boutiques.com, and the site doesn’t feature the familiar Google navigation bar along the top either.

The new shopping site was built by former members of Like.com, a visual-search company Google bought during the summer. Visual search is a search-engine method that uses images to determine what a user is looking for, rather than relying solely on text typed into a search box, as Google.com does.

Boutiques.com is looking to change the way people buy clothing and accessories online, by using a concept known as visual search, as well as giving users the option of creating their own “boutique” to serve as a filter to find items that fit into a person’s personal tastes, Google said in a blog post.

TRON-DIDAS…

ELastolite by Oryon Technologies – - -

With all the hype on Tron the movie coming out, there have been a plethora of gadgets, accessories, clothing, and now shoes involved with the franchise… Check these Adidas sneaks out:

Disney synced up with Adidas and Oryon Tech to bring you a pair of Tron-inspired Adidas kicks that glow (some Ts included as well). What’s interesting about these shoes is that they use a patented EL technology Elastolite that is directly printed on textiles themselves.  It lasts about 25 wash cycles which is pretty darn cool. The current available colors appear to Green, Blue-Green, Blue & Orange.

TO BE GEEK CHIC….

First it was Gucci who donned the 3d eyewear, which is to come out next month…. Then Armani Exchange jumped on the bandwagon, and made there version of 3d eyewear.  Calvin Klein is the latest designer who went geek chic with their very own ‘CK3D’.

Since 3D is all the rage in film right now, these 3 designers have got their finger on the pulse so that you don’t have wear those used 3D glasses they hand out at movie theaters.  bleh…. yuk right?

Now you can have the luxurious stylish ones! The impact of technology never ceases to amaze me.  Fucken nerds… I love them!!!

U DRAW FOR WII

U Draw for WII…..now you can really make your wii character lifelike…. WHERE MY ARTISTS AT?

Art games on consoles tend to be unpopular creations, Mario Paint about the only one to even approach retail success, but maybe all they needed was a proper input method. That’s what THQ is hoping, at least, announcing the uDraw GameTablet for the Nintendo Wii. It’s a chubby, pencil-like stylus tethered to a tablet that connects wirelessly to the console thanks to the Wiimote that slots right in. The tablet comes with a drawing game called uDraw Studio, while THQ is also working on an artsy platformer called Dood’s Big Adventure and a digital version of Pictionary, which could be this thing’s killer app. (You can catch a glimpse of them all in action in the video after the break.) The tablet will cost $69.99 when it ships by the end of the year, while games will be a rather more affordable $29.99. THQ also promises more games to come through 2011, but we’re guessing their release is somewhat contingent on just how many little Picassos find these in their stockings this holiday season.

LOURDES VUITTON

Down to the details…..

Damn…… The Virgin Mary all dressed up!

Lourdes Vuitton by  Italian artist Francesco de Molfetta
A handout picture released by the Museo Arte Sacra shows a statuette representing the Virgin Mary wearing a veil bearing the French luxury brand’s trademark “LV” logo. Italian artist Francesco De Molfetta, who is behind the creation, said he wanted to ”denounce an appearance-based society using brand names symbolizing the search for “ephemeral happiness.”
