“Watch the Throne” is fitting seeing as these Roc Boys have come to be the undisputed heads of what has come to be such a lucrative and marketable empire of hip hop.
With the album artwork by Riccardo Tisci of Givenchy, and the first music video beautifully directed by Spike Jonez (see below), these gents can do no wrong. And no matter how hard I hate on mainstream, I ain’t mad at it. The shits on point. I got a link labeled Listen bitch jumping directly to the The Stuyvesants homepage. A “Brooklyn’s Finest” song greeted me, and it wasn’t the Biggie & Jay-Z version either. The track immediately induced head nods, and before the song even finished I had already clicked the “download” link to the entire album.
