Ekundayo’s piece. He’s one of my favorite Hawaii artists right now. Bellow, view his streetart on Kapahulu and his contribution to Pow Wow.

Woe painted this. He’s another one of my favorite artists! I shared some of his art in my comic con post… The next pic is a Woebot piece I see all the time up at Fort Union.

LUSH $ELL$ OUT

Just came from the LUSH art show opening night at the Hold Up gallery in downtown LA. We sang happy birthday to the man of he hour—LUSH himself, I froze my ass off while the boys signed blackbooks, and even snapped some flicks of my favorites…

INSA IN SF

My lovely aunt bought me a birthday visit to my homecity and graciously invited me to stay at her new loft. I haven’t been here a day and I’m already racing around running errands! After picking up a replacement Krypto King for my girl Big D, I spent about 3 hours at the DMV clearing up some buried business. Heading back Downtown, I ran into this INSA mural

…which led me right to his show at fifty24SF!

Loving spades, gold chains, flashing lights, hypnotizing patterns… and that brown booty in the green? HOT!

SINCE ’74

These pages were taken from U&lc The International Journal of Typographics.

All the way back in 1974, graf writers were being recognized as influential and creative typographers.

You know diss!

Fonts.com is now allowing you to download back issues of U&lc online.
There you’ll find some really cool retro-type stuff (for all you graphic-nerds).

RAG & BONE HOUSTON PROJECT

Hey Graf heads… check out what Rag and Bone is doing…. A graffiti contest???

Bone hopes to solve their newest store’s unwanted graffiti dilemma by taking matters into their own hands. Sick of phrases like “You Would” and “F*** Africa” being tagged on the large white space underneath “Rag & Bone Bids Farewell to Cafe Colonial…,” they will hold a competition where artists can submit their work for consideration. The art will be voted on by Rag & Bone’s Facebook fans and the winner will be provided with all necessary painting materials and a $1000 store credit. Check out their site for more info.  Um……. who’s down?

***This video above is an updated news version as FOX had taken the video I had posted earlier down from you tube… Thanks FOX

Banksy, Mr. International man of mystery, is the author of some of the most satirical and anti-establishment art you can see in any street around the globe. Banksy is known for shit like putting his fake paintings at classic museums, installed without anyone at the museum noticing for hours and even days. Check these he put up at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York:
