POW WOW HAWAII
The travelling show Pow Wow hit Hawaii this month. For three days the public was invited to view international and local artists live painting at Fresh Cafe’s Loft In Space. The fourth and last day was like a gallery opening party. I showed up late, so by the time I got there it was hot, busy, and oozing with wallflowers and scenesters. INSA IN SF
My lovely aunt bought me a birthday visit to my homecity and graciously invited me to stay at her new loft. I haven’t been here a day and I’m already racing around running errands! After picking up a replacement Krypto King for my girl Big D, I spent about 3 hours at the DMV clearing up some buried business. Heading back Downtown, I ran into this INSA mural
…which led me right to his show at fifty24SF!

1 oz. Hennessy XO Cognac
Splash simple syrup
Splash Angostura
4 oz. Doyard Cuvée Vendémiaire NV Champagne
1 brown sugar cube
Add cognac, simple syrup, and bitters into a mixing glass with ice and stir.
Strain into flute, float Champagne, and add sugar cube.
Garnish with a brandied cherry and orange twist.
